Prometric exam is a world’s most recognized licensing and certification organization. In this article we discuss on the medical professional licensing way in UAE throgh prometic examination.
There are 3 types of license available in UAE for medical professional:
1. The Ministry of Health, UAE (MOH)
2. Dubai Health Authority (DHA)
3. Department of Health (DOH or HAAD)
What is Prometric Exam?
- Computer based multiple choice questions and answers exam
- Duration of Exam (Hours): 3 hours
- Total Question: 150
- Passing mark: 60 % (90 out of 150)
- Maximum attempts: 3 times
- Where to work: DHA (Dubai); DOH (Abu Dhabi) and MOH (UAE: Rest 5 states)
- Exam center is available in major cities of the world.
First Step: Eligibility criteria
For Pharmacist
- B. Pharm Degree certificate (M. Pharm optional) and Transcripts / Mark sheets
- Pharmacist License
- Minimum two years of recent experience (Not more than 6-month gap before exam)
- Good standing certificate not older than 6 months of issuance
For Nurse
- Bachelor degree in Nursing (Certificate and transcript/mark sheet)
- Basic Life Support Certificate
- Minimum two years of recent clinical experience (Not more than 6-month gap before exam)
- Good standing certificate not older than 6 months of issuance
For GP (Doctor)
- MBBS certificate
- Registration certificate
- Internship certificate
- Minimum two years of recent clinical experience (Not more than 6-month gap before exam)
- Good standing certificate
Second Step: Dataflow
- Primary source verification (PSV): Documents (such as Degree, training, experience certificate) verification. Dataflow can be complex, especially for individuals who are first time.
- Time: 30 days
Third Step: Prometric exam preparation, study materials & booking
Exam center is available in major cities of the world (multiple times in a month). Generally, 2-3-month preparation will help applicant to success in exam in very first attempt. Question and syllabus to be posted here soon. Keep on eyes. Sample question is a good source for exam.
